Canine and Feline Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy

Canine and feline massage therapy is a therapeutic treatment that involves manipulating a pet's soft tissues to help with various ailments. It can involve a variety of techniques, such as kneading, pressing, tapping, and gliding strokes, to help with physical problems and improve behavior.

Our veterinary nurse, Leanne, is certified in Canine Myo-manipulative Functional Therapy. She is currently working on becoming certified in feline massage therapy.

What are benefits of Massage Therapy

  • An increased range of motion and enhances muscle tone.
  • Reduced inflammation/swelling in the joints which alleviates pain.
  • Carries away excessive fluids/toxins and promotes healing by increasing nutrients to the muscles.
  • Stimulates circulation and releases endorphins which are natural pain killers.
  • Improves flexibility which helps prevent injury.
  • Prevents and relieves stress.
